Pearce Services Honors Our Veterans: Our Military Friendly Employer Event

At Pearce Services, the phrase "Military Friendly Employer" isn't just a buzzword; it's a commitment woven into the fabric of our company's values. On August 17th, we had the honor of hosting a special event at our corporate offices in Paso Robles, California, dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the invaluable contributions of our veteran employees. This event was a testament to our genuine dedication of support for those who serve in the armed forces and our determination to translate that commitment into meaningful action.
The Inspiration Behind the Event: Frank Martinez, our Veterans Ambassador
The ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) event was a direct result of Frank Martinez's personal journey as an Army Reservist after leaving full-time military service and coming to work for Pearce Services. Frank now serves as our dedicated Veterans Ambassador and recruiter where he plays a pivotal role in ensuring that veterans are not only aware of the opportunities available at Pearce but that they are also integrated seamlessly into our workforce.
At the time of his hire, Frank was active in the reserves and reported directly to our current COO, Michael Wolf. Together, Frank and Michael balanced Frank’s continued commitment to his military duties along with his responsibilities to the company. This experience for both men highlighted the significance of open communication, trust, and a supportive work culture for our veteran employees, especially those continuing in part-time service through the Guard and Reserves.
Supporting Military Members: Educating and Celebrating

Recognizing Excellence: The Patriot Award
As a poignant highlight of the event, Frank Martinez presented The Secretary of Defense Patriot Award to Michael Wolf. Frank nominated Michael for this ESGR award prior to his retirement from the Army Reserves. This award recognizes and honors supervisors and managers who exemplify extraordinary support for employees in the Reserves and the National Guard. Michael received a beautiful Certificate of Appreciation from The Secretary of Defense along with an accompanying lapel pin. Michael's unwavering encouragement of Frank's service highlights the type of support that defines Pearce’s commitment to our veteran employees.
Now, Frank gets to help extend that same support to all of Pearce’s military employees.
Valuing Veterans: A Tangible Commitment
Currently, around 10% of Pearce’s workforce self-identifies as veterans, a statistic that reflects our genuine respect for the military service and skills they bring to our company. In addition to Frank’s veteran advocacy efforts, Marine veteran and our current SVP of Solar O&M, EV & ESS, Kyle Williams is pioneering a Veterans’ Employee Resource Group (ERG) that kicks off in September to connect our veteran employees with all the resources they need to thrive in their civilian roles at Pearce. Our promise to our veterans and service members is clear: We not only value your service but also ensure that this value is tangibly demonstrated through unwavering support, recognition, and a culture that prioritizes your well-being.
Pearce Services' ESGR event on August 17th was more than just a ceremony; it was a resounding affirmation of our company's commitment. We are not making empty promises to our veterans; we are actively investing in their success, growth, and happiness.
